Thanksgiving.
We just got home from our Thanksgiving trip to Arkansas. It was a good time, filled with loads of traditional American Thanksgiving activities, like food preparation.
And what screams Thanksgiving more than massive amounts of meatballs, hot Italian sausage, and rigatoni? I’m pretty sure the pilgrims used parmesan rather than Pecorino Romano (or as P calls it, “the cheese of our people”) but otherwise, it was a fairly authentic Thanksgiving feast.
Later on, P and Wee P had fun engaging in that other traditional Thanksgiving pastime.
Joyfully playing under a brightly-lit fir tree. Was it the Native Americans who introduced gumdrops to the pilgrims, or was it the other way around? I forget.
In any case, we have much to be thankful for this year. For example, P is thankful for her Aunt Lisa for pulling out the gigantic tub of dress-up clothes.
Wee P, too.
Fierce!
Personally, I was most thankful to see this in my rear view mirror as we were driving home tonight.
And this.
Here’s hoping you had a fabulous Thanksgiving, too. And a quiet, peaceful drive home.

Parker’s do looks great! We had a great Thanksgiving too – my family left me for NW AR since I am working Friday and Sat:( Just saw a great movie, though – Precious. Tear-jerker.
Meatballs and italian sausage beats turkey any day. We did have some amazing oyster soup and stuffing with homemade cornbread, fresh sage, and roasted hen. Yum.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! We don´t celebrate this day here in Uruguay;all the cooking and eating is left for Christmas and the north culture penetration makes us eat all kind of winter meals:too many calories for summertime! Santa should wear a T-shirt down here, instead he insists in sweating to death!

Happy (belated) Thanksgiving! We’re kind of in a Korean time warp out here, so I’m a little behind on my blog roll reading. But, you have thoroughly convinced me to shoot for two ankle biters instead of one. If for no other reason than to be able to dress them in matching holiday outfits. I LOVE it!
